Quenching temperature: 820-880 °C (1500-1616°F), austenitizing period: at least 30 min (guide value), quenching agent: oil or water. The temperature at the lower end of the range is generally suitable for hardening in water, and the temperature at the upper end is suitable for hardening in oil.
Tempering temperature: 540-680 °C (1000-1255°F), tempering period: at least 60 min (guide value).
End quench test: 850 ± 5 °C.
